Mitral regurgitation has been reported with comorbid mitral valve prolapse and atrial septal defect. However there is no consensus regarding the pathogenesis of mitral regurgitation after closure. We are reporting a patient with functional mitral regurgitation associated with both an oversize closure device and wall motion abnormality after inferior myocardial infarction.
